What brings people to the unique world of TikTok? Is it the amazing dances that last eleven seconds or the humorous videos of dogs jumping out of windows as if they’re superheros? I know why my colleagues and I come to the platform. It is with one question in mind, which is “How to make money on TikTok?”
Ok, let’s get real here for a second. When most people sign up to TikTok with the thoughts of making money, that ambition can be easily distracted by the eye popping assortment of videos that is running on the platform.
From people giving extremely brief relationship advice to others coaching people on ways to make money on TikTok, there is no shortage of interesting content. I myself enjoy watching funny videos because laughing is important.
TikTok is one of the fastest growing social media apps on the planet with around one 1 billion users. It began in China and then like a tsunami, it made its wave through the rest of the globe. It is here to stay.
With the enormous amount of users on the platform, it’s not a secret that a large percentage will try to cash in on how to make money on TikTok.

Could it be easy to make money on the platform? Absolutely, but it could also be extremely difficult. The key is to go for it, and have some fun at the same time. Now, without further ado, let’s go over a guide on
How to make money on TikTok
- Donations
Are you a busy stay at home mom or dad? Perhaps you’re teaching your followers how to dance salsa for free. Well, it doesn’t have to be free. Nowadays many content creators reach out to their followers for donations.
I know what you’re thinking,”Donations?” But I don’t need charity. You’re right, you don’t need charity. However, you should be compensated for your hard work, and if you have ten thousand followers, and let’s say five percent of them gave you a two dollar donation every month, I’ll let you do that math.
Not to stir up any controversy, but I’d gladly give a couple dollars to a TikToker working their butt off to teach me how to dance over a homeless person doing absolutely nothing and asking for a hand out. That’s my two cents.
An example is one TikToker with the profile name “NNaples” who dances all over the United States using the same song. When you go to her profile link, she collects donations. She has over 2 million followers so we could only imagine the amount of money she could be making from donations.
After all, if only one percent of her followers gave her one dollar a month, again, I will let you do the math. It is twenty thousand dollars a month. That math took a few minutes, by the way. I hope it’s correct.
That is the exciting part – Doing mathematics. It is a numbers game. How many of your followers will convert to a paying customer. If a TikToker teaches salsa and has one hundred thousand followers, there are ways to convert that following into making dinero.
Don’t be shy, ask for charity. Sorry, I meant a donation.
Fun Fact – Here at Make Dinero Baby, we wonder about asking for donations as a monetization option. After researching other websites online, we noticed clever ways of asking for money, such as asking for coffee money or money for empanadas. It’s basically the same thing but somewhat friendlier.

- An ads campaign
Yes, I went there. If you have read some of the other blogs on this site, you would know that frugality is of utmost importance to us. Meaning we don’t like to spend on advertising, but one of the reasons we don’t spend cash on ads is because we’re always running our social media channels.
That is the trade off. We don’t pay for ads. We do spend countless hours creating vertical content videos.
If you would like to know how to make money on TikTok, test running an ads campaign. Who knows, it could work. A great benefit of running a campaign straight from the platform is that it could send the viewer from the video to a business site through a conveniently placed link.
If you have the marketing dollars to test out the waters of a TikTok marketing campaign, all we can say is “good luck.”
Also, stay up to date with the latest trends on the platform as TikTok is all about trending dances and a bunch of other weirdness.
- Create your brand
When I hear “create your brand,” it’s music to my ears. Go big or go home because you are in it to win it. The first two options of this list are magnificent, but starting a business and growing your own company is when it gets really fun, exciting and fantastic.
Everyone has the right to pursue a dream. This is what people do daily. Dream big.
If you have a plan of action and you can execute it on the platform then figuring out how to make money on TikTik is a shot that is waiting on your doorstep, ready to be scored.
When it comes to business, many people are searching for that quick buck. I understand, life is expensive, but if you’re the type of person who has an idea that is noticeably creative, TikTok is the platform to release your creativity.
You can advertise your artwork, your dancing, your voice or perhaps you have the cutest little puppy in the world that you could exploit to make money. Please assure if you begin profiting off your cute puppy that you refrain from buying it the cheap dry food. Get it that juicy, delicious, fake canned meat.
At the end of the day, we are all nothing more than a bunch of hungry dogs (Fierce entrepreneurs) aspiring to get that can of fake meat (Money and success).
Please share the blog if you thought it was terrific. It helps us out alot.
