This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 6:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Obtains current patient information for established and new patients
- Accurately enters and updates patient information in scheduling system
- Identifies payer source and verifies insurance eligibility
- Reviews scheduling system for needed updated demographics and consent forms
- Provide messages or transfer the call to physicians and nurses
- Protects/observes patient confidentiality per policies and procedure.
- Accurately imports registration documents into patients’ electronic health record

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or equivalent work experience
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- 1+ years of customer services experience within a contact center or healthcare environment.
- Proven understanding of Microsoft operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1.5+ years of customer service experience within a contact center or healthcare environment
- Medical or dental office or medical scheduling knowledge
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
