You are finally open for business. You’re in the driver’s seat with the seat belt fastened and you’re ready to drive down Prosperity Road. But as we speed down the street, it comes to a dead end. The business isn’t prospering as quickly as we thought. Perhaps we need to begin social media marketing.

Over 4 billion people use social media. Whether it’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter. There is no end in sight to how many different platforms can be utilized. Businesses may find it overwhelming at the beginning to gage where to put their attention. 

For instance, in the U.S.A most are using YouTube and Facebook. While other apps such as Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat are also tremendously popular. And it doesn’t stop there.

Where I live presently, it is no secret that Facebook and Instagram are the most popular social media platforms. When speaking with friends, family and colleagues, it is clear which apps they frequent the most. Thus, our business focuses on IG, but doesn’t count out TikTok. They are still relatively a new app and they are flying down the train tracks with a head of steam. Now, let’s discuss one of the reasons we are here.

Create awareness of your brand

Social media is where companies go to increase brand popularity. Some brands may use an interesting mascot that travels through towns, offering free cookies to residents made from their factory. Who doesn’t like free giveaways and cookies? Sounds like a delicious combination, and also a unique social media marketing strategy.

Companies may not enjoy giving away free stuff, but if one free cookie equals one new social media follower of your brand, a profitable conversion could be on the horizon. 

Put your business out there. It is a fact that without any attempts, nothing will happen. You will miss 100 percent of the shots you do not take.

Create content

Content is king. No matter what platform you’re using, if a business lacks content, they will lack success. When scrolling down TikTok, at times we stumble upon content creators who lack interesting content. But we notice they have over 100k followers and we scratch our heads. While their content may not be up to par, there is one striking attribute that they maintain, consistency. 

If content creators only post one video, picture, meme, ad, etc per week, it reflects a dull display of ambition. Nowadays the key to social media marketing success is consistency with regards to quality and quantity

Some believe quality is more important and that one should take their sweet time and create a masterpiece. Here at Make Dinero Baby, we strongly believe that it is a mix of both. 

Create valuable content and do it everyday. Now posting everyday may not be feasible for some, while others are eager on their journey down Prosperity Road, and they post daily.

This part sounds easy but is time consuming. Many followers and viewers of your social media will leave comments on posts and will also message you privately. At times they will treat you as if you have the time to speak for a prolonged period. It can be complicated. You are now dealing with the public, and there is not a one-size-fits-all solution.

With our social media channels, we will sometimes come across followers who expect us to find them jobs and be their counselors. First of all, we are not recruiters. Recruiters find people jobs and also help companies find employees. They act like agents. People also seek advice. We can offer some brief advice/information and continue with our workday. 

However, some businesses are based on one-on-one negotiations to make a solid profit on sales. If this is your business model, you have an ideal situation with regard to live messaging. Make those sales and make dinero.

It all depends on what type of business you’re operating. At the moment, we don’t sell anything. Thus, there is nothing to negotiate, and spending a prolonged period on any messenger app takes too much time away from other important operational factors that we need to deliver on. 

Writing blogs, producing vertical videos, website management are among our most important daily tasks. 

Depending on your manpower situation, this could be a challenging feit. There are many predicaments when engaging with your community when it comes to a social media marketing strategy. 

Look at it this way. If you don’t engage with followers, they could stop following your business. If they reach out to your business and you reply briefly, they could be unimpressed and leave your page. 

People are fickle. Meaning at any time, they could stop being loyal to your brand and disappear. At times, it is a lose-lose situation. Just do your best, be nice and displaying honesty goes a long way. 

Conclusion

The value of creating a social media marketing strategy is titanic because of the one most important reason. It creates trust with your users. Once trust is established, customer conversions should be only a matter of time.
